    File format question?
If I a export a file using QT 7 Pro for the web, will the end user be able to play the file in older versions of QT?

    Thanks

Depends on which codec you use to compress the movie.

The new H.264 codec can only be played back on QT7
MPEG-4 can only be played back on QT6 or higher, but that should be most people.
Other codecs should be supported under any version of QuickTime. (In most apps, there is a "Details" or "Advanced" option which reveals which codec is to be used.)
