I'm noticing some random pops in my speakers from my macbook since i updated...

Yeah...the popping is incredibly annoying, I hope they fix that soon.

I wouldn't download it if I were you because the only difference I notice is incredibly annoying pops every 15 seconds...

I don't mean to scare anyone off, but I've tried restarting and the problem still happens. It's like the audio out jack is turning itself on and off randomly.

What I would suggest for those who are experiencing problems is to download and install manually the Combo Update. Apple - Support - Downloads.
Just make sure you unplug all peripherals, quit all apps and let the installer do its thing.

Just tried this....still doing it. It doesn't seem like it would be my speakers since it only started happening right after I installed this.

Thought it could have fixed this: usually Combo Updates makes more check ups on the system and are capable of fixing a bit more. Sorry it didn't solve this problem, Fromasta.

Funny thing is we both have a Mini and I can't get mine to do it no matter what. Are you using External speakers? Here logitechs turned way up. Audio is just like before.

I just downloaded the new update and all went, no worries here.
Concerning the Popping sound on the MacBook, well I am the proud owner of one ;P and used to have that Popping noise since the last software update about a month ago, wasn't as frequent as every 15 seconds tho.
Since I've only installed the upgrade less than 5 mins ago I don't notice anything as far the pops.
