Apple ends day the most valuable public company on Earth

I had 5 stocks(up $800) before this, and picked 20 more more when they dropped on monday. I picked up 5 more Last night. And will buy some more today if they drop to around ~350. There's no way but for their stock to go back up to at least $420 soon...the way I see it.

Stock market value != market share.

Apple is still far from mainstream when you consider they only have about 4.5% of the worldwide market.

Hipsters can all relax.

I came across this article when reading Ars this morning. It looks at the different ways in which the wealth of a company is measured. In some respects, it's the biggest and in some it's not. This isn't to take away from their success (I bet telling people this was even a possible topic for discussion years ago would have made you the subject of ridicule) but just to point out the complexities in coming up with such a measurement.

I think the biggest contribution was the iPhone most of my friends and family that bought one when it came time to get a new computer switched to a Mac.
