Apple rumored to release 3rd iPad this winter, redesigned MacBook Pro in 2012

A flurry of new rumors suggest that Apple's true second-generation iPad may not surface until later this year, with next week's announcements possibly pertaining to an interim model. Meanwhile, a completely re-thought MacBook Pro family is said to be slated for sometime in 2012.

Unfortunately for me I can't wait until 2012 to buy that rumored line. Oh well, if I need it now, I need it now. I've heard this floating around too, but I'm not in the market for an iPad, so mostly interested in the bit about the MBP.

Redesigned MacBook Pro in 2012

I'm not a very smart guy, but if I was Steve Jobs, I'd put 1 + 1 together and capatalize on my current existing technology and blow the current laptop/netbook/iPad market out of the water by:

1) redesigning the MacBook/Air
a) using iPad technology
b) combine with the thin MacBook Air laptop frame
c) making the display rotatable & flip back to become a tablet PC

Even these two rumors would make one paranoid about buying a Macbook Pro and/or iPad 2 with the recent rumor and media event.

I think people get too worked up on waiting for the "next" version of something. Unless you know something is coming, why wait if what is out there works for you now?

If you always wait for the "next" thing, you'll never buy anything.

Exactly why, unless I hate something about the second-gen iPad, I will be buying one (hopefully) soon after it comes out. I've wanted an iPad since June of last year and haven't been able to get one, I think that it's about time I jumped in
