Well it certainly looks like our beloved  is on a winner here. Jus my personal opinion, but i think this tight little product is going to find a lot more people, and i think we will see a lot more converts to  PC's.
People are going to look at the iPad, realise what such a good product it is, have a look at a MB,MBP,MBA or the iMac and think to themselves "well  has done well on the iPad, there PC's must be awesome" and go ahead and switch ......

Good read though :)

The ipod/iphone halo effect is now the ipad halo effect.
This can only be good for Apple.

When the ipad keynote was done I thought to myself Apple will do well with the ipad. I didn't expect them to make the killing they have done with it. Sure the ipad is only a niche product now but soon enough products like this will be mainstream.

I Steve Jobs himself summed it all up very well. I forget the exact quote or where it was said but the general gist of it was:

"In the old days like 1900 and the like a lot of people owned trucks because a lot of people lived in country areas or were business owners in the city. And needed the hauling capacity that a truck needs. Fast forward to today and not many people own trucks anymore. We all prefer our small twin turbo city people carriers. Most people have no need for a trucks hauling capacity anymore.

And the same in the IT world. People in the future will will no longer need or use the hauling capacity that desktop computers provide. The portable computers (like the ipad) will improve to a point such that they will be the new mainstream type of computer. And only a few people who really need the Ghz will own and use desktops."

I think its going to be "Watch out world" !!!!!!!

I predicted Apple will sell 10 million before the first anniversary of the iPad. I was wrong.

I was way too low. Apple will easily sell 10M before the end of the year.

PS. All those iPad haters we used to have around here can officially SUCK IT.

iNAP, it's been well documented that the security through obscurity concept is just a myth.

Maybe not so much the security issues as the numbers game, I prefer to be on the side of "a few" as opposed to the side of "the many'

Then I would suggest switching to Nokia, they're practically nonexistent here in the US ;P

I don't care if Apple becomes the majority but I do care that they have enough users that companies will make more stuff for Apple products. Now that Macs have gained market share there are more Windows only software being made for Macs.

Back in the early days it was kind of annoying with the lack of options we got on Macs. We still see this today in areas like gaming for Macs which is still very limited but growing.

When businesses see that Apple users make up a large enough percentage of the market to make a good profit from then they will make more products for Apple users. This is also why I always buy the Mac version when I can even though I have Windows installed on my Mac for those few still Windows only softwares.
