pressing Return triggers Cmd+C ? (help)

the title pretty much explains it all. anything on the desktop screen and in any app i try, whenever i try to press return, it executes Cmd+C. i would have to hold shift while i press return for it to work. does anyone know a setting that could cause this or a problem?

You might try looking at the "keyboard shortcuts" in your "keyboard and mouse" system preference.
I'm really not sure though. That is a very strange problem.

i did a restore defaults on the keyboard shortcuts and it still didnt work, i also checked if it were in there myself and nothing. is there a way i could fix this maybe thru restoring?

None of the steps in that guide worked, i think my last resort might have to be a full restore
