This has happened twive in the last 2 weeks. I closed the lid to my macbook and I picked it up to carry it downstairs and it reboots. Really weird issue and i hope someone can help me. I was also just wondering if this sounds like something to be really worried about.

not really wierd at all.
Macbooks are programmed to standby when you shut the lid, and then reboot when you open it. You should notice its only standby not shut down by the little indication light in the front right corner of the case dimming and brightening gradually.

no im not talking about standby, the computer actually rebooed while it was closed, i heard the "WAH!!" startup sound and then the screen went black for like 30 seconds and i could hear the hard drive so i knew it was doing sumthing... after the screen stopped being black it popped up with the loading mac os x screen as if i had just turned it on. I know what standby mode is and that is what normally happens... this is just something odd that happened twice.

Is it possible that your battery is loose, and the laptop lost power when you moved it?
