- g5 quad 2.5ghz, ibook g4 1.33ghz, g4 867ghz
hi, everytime i try and insert a disc of any kind the drive starts whiring, gets to '2nd gear' slows down, trys again about 4 times then ejects the disc. i'm guessing the drive might be gone but i thought someone might have a fix or solution that doesn't involve replacing it or using an external.

ps. it's a ibook g4 1.33ghz, the drive in question is a mashita dvd-r uj-825
