iMac RAM in iBook

Hi,

Does anyone know if RAM from a 20" iMac 1.25 G4 will fit in a 12" iBook G4 1ghz? I'm pretty sure they're the same physical size.

Cheers,

No No No.

PC2700 and PC2100 are generally interchangeable as long as you put the faster RAM into the slower machine. (That is, don't use PC2100 RAM if PC2700 is required.)
If you have a PC2700 SODIMM from the user accessible slot of an iMac G4 (iLamp model of 1 GHz or higher speed) then that RAM should work fine in any iBook G4, any 12" Powerbook G4 or an aluminum Powerbook G4 15 or 17" up to but not including the last DL superdrive/HD screen model.

If you have a PC2100 SODIMM, you have to be a bit more selective: iBook G4's (but not including the 1.33/1.42 last model), and Powerbook G4 12" 867 MHz and 1 GHz (only) are OK.

Thanks
