magnetic hook on screen won't catch.

ok so basically my ibook won't completely close. That hook that comes down is stuck or something. Is there an easy way to fix this?

Make sure the hook isn't catching on anything. If it is, you can try to loosen it with a paper clip or something like that.
If it still won't come loose, that should be covered by AppleCare if you still have it on your iBook.

What do you mean "it wont close completly"?, the Ibook doesnt have the magnetic hook that the MacBook has, it has a mechanical hook, and no ibook will close "perfectly" always is going to be a little space.

It does indeed have a magnetically released hook. When the lid nears the palmrest, the magnet draws out the hook.

yes, but the magnet doesnt close the lid properly, just helps the hook down...
