MacBook stuck on gray screen

Last night I shut off my MacBook Pro, the first time in a week. When I started it this morning it is stuck on the gray screen. Can someone please tell me how to force a reboot?

I had to dust off the G4 to post this question. :)

Okay, I found out. On the left side there is a small button towards the front, I pressed that while holding the power button down and it shut it off. Then I pressed the power button again and it restarted.

Sorry if this was discussed before.
