Hello,

My very old but so far very reliable black macbook is in need of a new disk... It's from 2006 or 2007, I think it's this version: www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-2-duo-2.0-black-13-specs.html

I can't afford a new computer but I really need my buddy to come back to life as I work with photos. So after trying to follow online instructions and advice, I've found this:
Western Digital WD7500BPKX 750GB 2.5" WD Black... in stock at OWC

Will it do? I know that SSD are better but again, I cannot really afford it right now..
Thanks so much, any help will be extremely appreciated!

Yes. The WD Black is my personal recommendation for those not wanting to move to a SSD.

Great thanks!!

Another detail, my hard drive is SATA, does a SATA 3 work normally on my computer? or is better to stick to SATA?

Thanks for the help! So, I'm going to order my new disk (hurray) but since I'm ridiculously ignorant on these sort of things, what do you recommend?

Say, is this an option? > Western Digital WD3200BPVT 320GB 2.5" Scorpio Blue... in stock at OWC

or this? (it says it's backwards compatible with 1,5gb/s) > Toshiba MQ01ABD100H 1.0TB 2.5" Serial-ATA 6Gb/s... in stock at OWC

this? > Western Digital WD10EZEX 1.0TB WD Caviar Blue 64MB... in stock at OWC

and also this? > HGST 0J22423 1.0TB 2.5" Travelstar 7K1000 7200RPM... in stock at OWC

Just trying to find a balance on a something that will actually work on my MB but that could have the advantage of increasing performance a little. But really, just need my MB back to life so even if I can just find something that will work I will be very very happy!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!
