Replacing a Disk before it fails
Been reading a lot of threads about HDs dying so I thought I'd show this to y'all...

Turns out your disk drive is pretty S.M.A.R.T.- Open disk utility, select your disk drive on the left side and then look at the bottom of the window to see the "S.M.A.R.T. status"

    That means 'alright'.

If it said failed, you should back up your data ASAP and see about getting a new drive.
