Originally I thought I had a faulty hard drive in this machine. I have removed the hard drive and have successfully booted up another Mac Book Pro in target mode with the hard drive in an external case. When I try to use the hard drive as a target on the problem computer, it boots to the point where I get what I believe is a "fatal kernel" message, then the computer tries to boot up again. This just continues to go on. Any thoughts on what I should do next?
