Hello all. I have a late 2008 Macbook running OS X Mountain Lion 1.8.2 with iPhoto 8.1.2 (424).
I also have a grand total of 3,200 photos in my iPhoto trash. I need a way to delete these. I'm fully aware that "the experienced user doesn't recommend over 100 photos at one time" and have tried moving all the photos back to the library then deleting in batches of about 80 or so, which worked for a little while. Then only 40 worked, and now every time I try to empty it (even with 3 pictures), it instantly quits.
I've tried all the different methods of emptying it: the empty trash button, the right-click on trash and click empty, the empty iPhoto trash in the menu bar, and even the keyboard shortcut for the menu bar.
What I'd really like to know is how I can forcefully delete the contents of the trash. For instance, under User>Pictures>iPhoto Library (right click on iPhoto Library and click "Show contents"), you have all the files and information stored in iPhoto. Is there a file or folder somewhere in there that can be deleted which stores the trash?
Thanks for your time!
