I recenlt purchased a Seagate 300 Gb IDE Drive w/ a USB2 HD enclosure to backup my entire hard drive. I formatted the drive and started using Carbon Copy Clone but it keeps on freezing in the middle of the operation. I also tried to simple drag and drop files and again the computer freezes. The computer shows it is calculating the time for transfer, but it gets stuck in this step indefinitely. Now when I try use Disc Utility to erase and reformat the drive the computer freezes every time. Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
