Hello everyone, I have decided not to upgrade the logic board in my white 13" MacBook and go with a MacBook Pro. I am not sure when I'll be getting it, it all depends on when the seller on craigslist replies but I was wondering what I could do to it. What is the max RAM and HDD? I found the computer for $500 so I wanted to make sure that this was worth it because it seemed really underpriced. I know i said I wouldn't be getting a MBP for a while but I did an experiment to see how much I could potentially sell my computer for and ended up making a deal for $600 (I feel very lucky hahaha) So I want to get the best computer possible with the money. I'm still waiting on a few transactions to take place that could possibly open up a chance to buy something i7 but until then this looks like the best bet. THanks

Like I replied to one of your other posts...I seriously doubt this i5 MacBook Pro you're pursuing is legitimate.

It's most likely a common Craig's List "phishing scam" where you send a reply...they get your e-mail address...and now you're going to get lots of unwanted spam.

Or...the "seller" will reply saying..." Opps...sorry...I already sold my i5 MacBook Pro...but I know where you can get one cheap."...and then they give you a link to a website which they make money from (and DOES NOT sell cheap MacBook Pros).

If you want a used i5 MacBook Pro...you're going to pay closer to $750-$800+ for it...and this will be a lower end 13" model.

Yeah, once I got the replies they were for some job interview :p I have found a MacBook air though. It is $595 and has a C2D processor, Am I right in thinking that if I buy one with a C2D instead of something i5 or i7 it will be obsolite (not supporting next big OSX update) in like a year? I really don't want to spend my money on something that is almost antiquated. I want something that will last me a few years.
