also I would greatly appreciate feedback, as Apple says I can no longer insure my computer through Applecare, they recommend I buy new equipment. I have until 9/11/2011 for my coverage to expire. please someone out there reply and tell me what to do. I can not buy a new computer right now. I am in school and very broke, my dad passed away this year and money is really tight.

It is possible that the fan is only making noise at a certain speed and as the computer gets warmer, the fan speeds up and the noise goes away. As it seems you are currently under Apple Care I would certainly have them look at it.
