MacBook Air SSD compatibility?

Hi - anyone know why I wouldn't be able to pull an SSD out of a Late 2010 MBA 13" and put it into a 2011 MBA 13"? (I bought the 2011 with a smaller drive, b/c I'm cheap...).

When I installed it in the 2011, all I'd see was the "No" sign... I couldn't even boot it with the Lion recovery USB key.
