Hello,

My battery has a foot in the graveyard and I need to buy a new one. Should I go for the pricy Apple battery? or is there a brand out there that would do the job just as well at a lower price?

There are a bunch of options on Amazon but I was wondering what my best option was.

Thanks!

I bought my MBP battery at FastMac | Performance Upgrades. Took a while to get to me since they were out of stock, but it's working great now. One thing I noticed tho: I don't get the low battery message anymore with the after-market battery. The MBP would just turn off once below 15% or so.

+1 for the batteries sold by OWC. They usually exceed the power and life of an Apple battery.

Just so we're on the "same page"...you do realize that this model MBP (which technically) has the "non-user replaceable" battery?

Just mentioning...since it's certainly going to be a bigger project than older MBP's where the battery is easily replaced.
