    First Mac to do this I think apart from the Mac Pro.

    27" iMac i5, 3.2 GHz, iPad 3, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6+, 3 iPods, Yosemite
    That's real interesting and also means that all the inner workings must be able to run in 64 Bit mode. But what about the myriad of applications folks have installed? Other utilities? Additional items in System Preferences?

    I think this needs some more looking into before I take that article at face value. Also read all the comments below the article.
