MacBook (06) logic board fried - pls help!!

I just fried my logic board (coffee spill) and am told it's not worth installing a new one. Problem is, I'm on maternity leave, with no income and I rely on my macbook for Uni. I desperately need to know how I can get hold of one and where I can get instructions to install it. The approved Apple dealer quoted me $1800 which I think is extortionate and I can't afford it

Any help appreciated. If anyone has one to sell please contact me!!

Unfortunately for an '06 logic board you may aswell buy a new macbook. There won't be alot of difference between new logic board and installation compared to a new machine.

Your MacBook is only worth about $400...so spending $1800 on a $400 computer would be foolish! Just buy yourself another used MacBook.

You might check with their no intersets up to a year payments program they have thats how a friend got her new iMac she said it made it almost painless when the price was divided by twelve. She had sort of the same issue with the logic board except the ATI
card went bad and was told 650.00 for new board and labor was 300.00 and when I told her she was within a 100.00 or so of a new one.
