    Angry So sick of PowerBook
    As many of you of know I have had numerous problems with my powerbook. Its my second PowerBook and 3rd Apple Laptop in 1 month. My first the ibook was traded in week after I got it for powerbook. Second was 12 inch powerbook with all kinds of kernal panics. Now this one, it wobbles all the time and yes its on flat surface, it has been sent to Apple to be fixed since it wont sleep when lid was closed. It still doesnt work. It also came back with some minor nicks on bottom on laptop which makes me mad because I baby my laptop and expect it to come back in same condition. I have transfered all my files numerous times from laptop to laptop. My parents and me are getting really upset since they are driving me to Apple Store and to mail it away all the freaking time. They probably think Apple sucks now. I am just having totally bad luck with my first Apple. The dumb Apple Care people told me just send back again, i didnt tell them all the other problems just the sleep problem. I have posted a lot about these different issues because I am jost so darn mad. My comp teacher cant belive all the problems I am having having, he is MAC a NUT!! On top it all the ram I bidded on ebay and recived doesnt work so now I am dealing with the seller who is being very nice but its just another dumb thing to worry about. I really just think I should get another new powerbook but god with all these problems I really think I should get some special treatment to maybe try to restore some faith in me for Apple. Sorry for all the rambling but I just needed to vent! Please reply with some advice.

    I buy government excessed macs I really can't afford a new one. But if it makes you feel any better I have spent the last 4 days just trying to load OS X. But I am a PC moron so I guess that is a given. Hang in there I actually think OS X is loading now .... or is it? Hmmmmm mount drive?

    Call Apple, demand to speak to the supervisor, and say that you will absolutely settle for NOTHING less than a new, WORKING PB, or else you will sue. Be polite but firm about it. If they hassle you some more, get a lawyer to write a letter. Most lawyers have a "letter fee," and most companies will respond to that.

    Yeah its true, you did buy from apple intending to get a working PowerBook, threaten to sue, maybe they will settle. As much as I love Apple (lifer) I am sadded by apples support, and recent quality of work.

    Thanks guys for the replies. Who exactly do you think I should at apple? Do I just call Apple Care? Just tell me who I could call. You guys have really helped me out a lot. I am so sick of them right now but I do love my powerbook, I just want it to look and work right. I am going to call sombody after school. Just let me know who I should contact and I will. Maybe they will give me somthing extra out of deal. I doubt it! lol Look forward to hearing from you later.

    I am done with Apple. Nobody will help me out there. They said my computer was already scratched and didnt care really about other problems. Somone help me out. I called customer relations. There is more scratches on it then when i sent it. Its wobbly and sleep funcition doesnt work, help me before I just say screw Apple.

    Here is latest update. I spoke to a product specialist at Apple Care. They told me they would send a box and I can send it back for repair. I still sorta of upset becauseing thats all there doing being my 3 laptop. Any more advice? I want a new powerbook because I just see my self having to send it back again.

    Is your mom a good speaker, dad, aunt, uncle, yourself? Whomever go to your local apple story and raise almighty... heck with them till they exchange it for a brand new one. They owe you, after all this crap. Tell them in a loud enough voice they will hurry to please you but not to loud they don't respect you ro ask you to leave. But keep on be persistant have proper papers and whatever and tell them if they dont meet your expectations by replacing this laptop you will take it to the courts and make sure you let them know if they dont fix it this was your first and last apple. (of course dont let it be ) I hope everything works out for you. Stories like yours almost kept me from getting one thank God I did as mine is fine, but knock on wood it stays the same.
