Can I disable login/password requirement in 10.5?

I've just spoken to a friend who has a 1.33 g4 laptop running 10.5.8 and it's asking for his password before he logs in. It won't go straight to the desktop screen until he enters his pw. Can anyone help me tell him what to do? Thanks!

Just go to System Preferencs, then Security, then under the General tab, deselect the "Disable Automatic Login".
