Macbook pro loses charge when plugged in

my macbook has been constantly plugged in for about two days now. Today when i turned it on it said 99%. is this normal?

Yes, it's normal. I noticed this too when I first got my MBP and I remember reading somewhere that, when plugged in, the battery will go down to about 95-96% before the charge kicks back in. Once to 100%, it will slowly discharge until 95-96% again. Good luck.
