    Switching Hardware Between Macbooks
Ok, I'm new to the Macbook. I have two models here, the older MA255LL/A and the late 2007 model MB061LL/B (this one's a core 2 duo instead of just core duo). What I want to do is get the hard drive, superdrive, and memory from the older model and swap them with the newer (because the newer mac doesn't have a superdrive and the Hard drive is smaller).
First: is this even possible/compatible (if so can you point me to guides)?
Second: if it is, would it be easier/possible to just swap logic boards with everything on it?
Third: Am I making any sense?

    Thank you!

I just found a guide online but I'm still unsure about the compatibility. Can someone help me out?

The hard drives and memory are easy to swap out in the Macbooks and are completely compatible with each other. I would assume that the Superdrive is compatible too, but I have never replaced one of those and I would think it would be a little bit more difficult.

Sweet. Thanks for the reply. I was looking at a guide about installing a superdrive. It's lengthy and possible, but I'm just not sure about the compatability of it. Well, there's only one way to find out, I guess.

    Specs:
    13" Macbook Pro 2.53GHz; 4GB RAM; GeForce 9400M
Hello, it is indeed compatible to my knowledge. I've done this before and the only limitation is the firmware technically. Since both firmware are known to support the Superdrive, it should be fine. This also applies to the Airport Extreme.
