Which macbook and configs?

Hi,

Im fairly new to the forum and i just wanted some advice from you guys.

Im saving up for a MacBook pro 13 inch. I dont have all the money quite yet, but I'm wondering what I would need to do some video editing on iMovie, iTunes and maybe some photo editing and just surfing the web, watching youtube and such.

Right now, I confirgured a MacBook pro 13in with a 2.26GHz processor, 2gb ram, 250GB hard drive, and the protection plan, and minus the student discount for 1409.94 (tax included)

Do you think that the specs I have are pretty good for what ill be using it for? Does 4GB of ram really make a difference? Right now on my crappy pc, I only have 512MB of ram, but for my needs it still gets the job done.

And also, how much the the OS take up on the hardrive?

If your current requirmements are met with 512mb of ram they will most certainly be met with 2 Gbs. I don't see the need for 4 in your situation. The operating system takes roughly 50Gb of the hard drive space.

What operating system are you using that takes up 50 GB of hard drive space?

Both Leopard and Snow Leopard install in less than 15 GB of space.

Clean install of SL I did yesterday was 10.4 GB.
