Is it bad to leave your MacBook plugged into a power source pretty much all day? Or should you periodically take it off and just use battery power? I've been off for three days and just kept my MacBook plugged in. Will that hurt the battery life in the long run?

according to apple you'll have to calibrate the battery more often (once a month instead of every 3 months), i use the changer a lot too but i take it out use the battery then charge and use the AC for a few hr then unplug again, it helps with keeping it cooler..

My MBP stays plugged in 98% of the time. I do try to calibrate it once a month, but I don't really remember to do that either.

In the long run, you're going to have to replace the battery. In the mean time, use your computer the way you want to use it and try to incorporate Apple's recommendations into your usage patterns when you can.
