HELP!! Important question...power converters

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of purchasing a used 12" ibook G4. My question is this: I am going to europe for a year and I need to know if I will be able to use the ibook over there. Is there a power converter Mac sells? I have heard horror stories of people using converters in europe and frying their computers because of the high voltage...this is a very important issue for me, and if anyone has any information they could share, it would be greatly appreciated!!

As far as I know, the powersupplys of recent Macs should be compliant to both, US and European voltage.
Check what's written on the supply, if it says 100-240V, it will work without the need of any converter. You just need an European plug (which you can get there for a couple of Euros).

Isn't there a a plug that will slide into the power supply that apple sells?

Or you can just get an adapter plug as Avalon says as this will be cheeper.

Thanks for your help...I'm getting the ibook early next week and I'm really excited (used macs when I was younger but have been using pc's for a few years). The power conversion was a major issue for me but I know now that it will not be a problem...thanks again!
