Hi everybody!

over the past two weeks, i upgraded my Unibody MacBook Pro's Ram to 4 GB and upgraded my Hard drive to 500 GB. I was wondering, would i still be eligible for AppleCare? Since i opened up the computer and stuff.

I heard that they have to take a look at your computer when your applying, is this true?

THANKS!

Which Macbook Pro do you have? The one where you have access to the battery or the one where it's sealed off and you needed to unscrew the entire bottom? If the former, then you didn't void the warranty when upgrading those components, which means there is nothing holding you back from getting AppleCare. Also, they don't check your computer, you can simply walk in and buy it, or even get it online. Note that even if they did check your computer, how would they even know that you had upgraded the parts? It's not like the stock parts come with big Apple logos on them or anything.
