I recently spilt water on my macbook pro.....I got as much as the water off as i could in about 30 seconds, without jolting the laptop or anything. I got a little keyboard vacuum and used it to remove anything from between the keys.

can ne1 forsee any issues? :[

Well liquid is always bad. Have you tried using it?

Are you typing on it now? Either way, leave/turn it off for a couple of days and let it completely dry out. There still might be droplets of water that can seep into critical areas of the machine if you move it. If it is on, it can short-circuit. I've heard someone mention before to turn it over, but not sure if it's safe in every situation.

Absolutely. Keep it off for a few days minimum. Make sure the MBP is absolutely dry before attempting to turn it back on.

I'd think a $2k+ computer is worth more to me than an assignment. Either get up early and go to the library or pass it in a little late. I would not risk my laptop for something like that.

if i miss it, i'll have to spend another year at school...

I find it hard to believe that you have absolutely no alternate computer to use. The fact that you're willing to risk your own $2k investment doesn't make any sense to me either.

Soup Spill

I have a similar question, so I hope this is the right place to post it!
I spilled a little bit of soup on my macbook pro yesterday at around 11:30 pm. I wiped of the excess immediately, but after a couple of minutes it turned off. After another minute or so, it started up on its own but just showed a blue screen and then shut down again. I took out the power source at this time, and a little later I took out the battery. It's upside down right now, and absolutely nothing has seeped out of it. Do you think it is okay for me to try turning it on now, or should I still wait to be safe? Also, what would a repair cost if this damaged my computer assuming that I don't have the apple care plan, which I don't >_<

Thanks in advance for the help!
