Hey guys,

I've got a shot top case, but the logic board is still good. I'm curious is there is a method to power on the MacBook with the top case removed? I know its doable with the MacBook Pros by touching certain contacts on the board itself, I was curious if there wa a similar solution for the MacBook line.

Thanks!

Find the place where the top case plugs in. Locate the two contacts furthest to the left on both top and bottom. Use a very small flathead screwdriver to jump them and the MacBook will start up.

I am not responsible if you mess something up.

It should.. I used to do it all the time with my fiance's old MacBook when the top case was broken. As long as he interpreted my instructions correctly, it will start right up.
