Powerbook customization

Hi all,
I wasn't sure where to put this, but since it does have to do with a powerbook, I guess here is fine. Anyways, I have a 15" PowerBook and would like to remove the outer aluminum shell from the lid. I am looking for a parts blow-up showing me what I may encounter when pulling it off. Or possibly, if one of you have done this, if you could give me an easy way of performing this task.

Also, I have seen replacement 12" Powerbook lids that look like a zebra...or tiger, whichever one it was, and although I would never put anything like that on mine, are there places that make different lids for the 15" PowerBook, like a blue lid, or something of that nature?

Thanks,
Mike

why don't you take that one off and then paint it with a special pain but make sure to put tape over the apple so paint doesn't get on it, since it does light up when you are using the computer

After breaking the hinge on my PowerBook, I can tell you. That you don't want to try taking the back of the screen off. It appears to me that it is glued together. So if you break that bond, it not going to look good once you get it back together.

Ok, thanks for the info. My cousin took his off to change the color of the apple, but I dont know if he ran into a glue problem, lol.
Thanks a lot,

...I don't want it to chip, lol. I would like to fine something made out of a good plastic that is dyed, or even clear, that would be radical, like the clear part on my iPod
