    Battery Problem- very confusing!
I just can't find anything about this when I search for battery problems - Everything was fine until last time I went to charge the battery, and when I plug in, it says "Battery Not Charging." I don't have the red x anything, and it's a DP, not a Sony battery.

    Here's my profiler info:
    Charge Information:
    Charge remaining (mAh): 215
    Fully charged: No
    Charging: No
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 4918
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 322
    Condition: Good
    Battery Installed: Yes
    Amperage (mA): 0
    Voltage (mV): 10894

iStat says my battery health is 98% (!), with 322 cycles. Is that possible?! Seems like it should be less healthy. Well, it's *acting* unhealthily!
I didn't know, until tonight, that I was cycling my battery waaaaay too often. I thought it was better to run it almost all the way down (I rarely let it sleep first) before I charged, if I wasn't keeping it plugged in. Anyway, I know better now. But does anyone have any idea what the problem is? It seems like I should need a new battery based on cycles, but both profiler and iStat says the battery is in great health.

If it matters, I got my Macbook mid Jan '08, so I think it's considered a late '07.

    Thanks!

    MacBook Battery Problem
THE Macbook Battery Problem was announced by Apple late April of 2007. You might make a play with Apple for a new battery. I have heard of Apple replacing the (defective) battery with even over 300 cycles. There's a tidy collection of info and links at MacBook | Macbook Pro Battery Problem. I'd run through those links and diagnostics first. Then call or stop by the Apple store and suggest you have one of the bad batteries.
    Best,
