LCD Swap Gone Bad. Please HELP!!!

Please help me. I'm losing my mind here with this friggin macbook LCD. I replaced my macbook's cracked LCD, with this one(model # AU Optics B133EW01-V3), following this guide. It took me 4 hours to complete the switch!!! After carefully putting every thing back together, I was horrified to find the display looking like this...

It seems that the display is functional, but it's not displaying all the colors correctly.

What could cause this? Please help me asap, because I took it apart again, in hopes that I did something wrong, or pinched a cable somewhere along the way.

All help would be greatly appreciated and rewarded if it proves to remedy the problem.

Does fiddling with your colour calibration settings make any difference? I'd try software before hardware.

I already tried that. Plus, it does it in both xp & osx.

If it still does not work after putting it back together then I would call the support line from where you ordered it from. Worst case they RMA it and send you a new one.

I'm sure you've gone back over the disassembly\assembly steps. It appears one of the steps is to remove the data display cable from its connector. Make sure none of the tiny pins on the male side are bent, loose, or broken. Also look carefully at the female side to make sure that the connectors are all in place. Broken wires? Wires accidently pulled loose? Check everything under a bright light.

You may have received a defective LCD but it could also be related to something that went wrong when you removed the old LCD or when you installed the new one.

Is that the exact replacement part? The pinouts might be slightly different if not. To me, this looks like a faulty flex cable or an improperly seated one.

I'm not sure if it's an exact replacement part. The auction says it's for a macbook and the seller has 100% positive feedback. Please, can someone tell me if the part number matches any stock macbook part number? The part number of my new screen is B133EW01-V3. The part number that I've seen for macbooks is B133EW01. It looked close enough to me. Here's the ebay auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270253042048. Please help...I'm actually typing on this mess as we speak, cuz I had to return the working laptop(pictured next to my macbook in the above picture) to the person that loaned it to me.

There isn't really much more we can say. If going back and retracing your steps doesn't fix it then you either have a defective or incompatible LCD. Call the seller and see if you can get your money back. If not Try reselling it to get back some of your money but describe the problem your having with it. I would recommend buying replacement LCD's from an actual retailer in the future. If you like I can provide you with links to reputable sites. Good luck.
