    Problems Waking Up
    Hi Guys,

Recently bought a MacBook Pro (2.5 GHz 4gig ram OSX 10.5.3) which is my first Mac in about 15yrs.

Despite being largely bullet proof, Im finding that periodically the screen will not light up upon re-starting after being put to sleep. The screen will remain dark though you can make out faint images if you angle the screen correctly. Upon re-booting everything will be fine.

Any thoughts a to how to fix this?

    Thanks

    Paul,

Sounds like you might have a loose backlighting connection. Since it's new, I'd call Apple or take it to an Apple store to get it fixed.
