    Specs:
15,4" MBP 2,4 GHz, 2MB RAM, 250 GB HDD (Seagate aftermarket), Leopard, Logitech V470.
    Dead disk, right?
OK, here was clicking noise, MB freezed, on restart there's a folder with ? in it, Disk utility (from install DVD) doesn't even see internal HD.
I guess that means it's dead, right?

PS: Just checking, cause I'll just take it to service tomorrow (dont have time to play with it anymore today), and I don't want to hear "It was just an ..." from the service.

Yes, that sound like the Hard Drive died.

You taking it in to Apple? Be sure and tell them it was clicking before it died. You should be fine.

I would have told you to boot from the DVD and run Disk Utility and check the SMART status, but since it does not even see a drive, that would not work. I would bet $$$ it's the drive. How old is your Macbook? Just curious.

I'm hoping they dont have any more 80GB disk and put in 120 GB
