I recently purchased a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I am using it with a DLink bluetooth adaptor. Everything works fine but when my computer goes to sleep, i am unable to wake it up with the mouse our keyboard. I end up having to push the start button. I went to the bluetooth preferences and saw an option to "Allow bluetooth devices to wake up computer" or something like that, but it will not allow me to choose that option for some reason. Do i have to get the internal bluetooth module for this to work?

Thanks in advance....

I think you do need to have the internal Bluetooth for that to work because when you put the computer to sleep it shuts down the connection to all usb devices

USB keeps going or you wouldn't be able to wake up with a wired keyboard

So I did more searching on the Apple website and found this.

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/bluetoothfirmwareupdater12.html

If you are using a D-Link bluetooth dongle, you will need to update the firmware. You will have to keep in mind the warning:
"Important: Applying this firmware updater to a D-Link USB to Bluetooth adapter will make it incompatible with non-Macintosh systems."

Since I updated the firmware, everything has been fine.
