24" imac6.1 replacement HARD DRIVE HELP

MacBook Pro 2.8 GHz i7
hi my friends imac which the hard drive has completely gone, wont format, partition or anything :( i have taken it out (250gb 3.5 sata )can any one help on witch hard drive i have to replace it with (links would be great :D ) im not sure on the speeds of them and stuff like that. any help would be great thanks :D

SATA is an industry standard. Basically, you can get any SATA that's currently available. 7200 RPM is the more common rotation speed. 5400-5900 are lower power/cooler-running possibilities.
