OK, another media hub post.
I made the decision to to buy either the mini or ATV two days ago and started the research.
My first revelation is that for my needs/wants boxee makes the most sense. I love it, but not enough to have a clumsy interface. I need to use cable/over air hd for live sports and local news. Boxee dont support a live tv tuner.
Frontrow, i can handle if the eyetv or other similar tuner can cleanly integrate within. but this would have to happen within apple tv. I am not willing to pay for a mini for just frontrow.
Boxee is available for ATV but can eyetv cleanly integrate into a jailbreak box?
I cant seem to find a good answer having not to be able to experiment with the hardware.
Idea situation= mini/appletv + eyetv 250 + boxee = clean interface
boxee does not need to run the show as long as i can switch back and forth between boxee and frontrow or eye tv. preferably have frontrow run the show and eye tv and boxee as options.
any ideas?
