An adapter to plug a DVI monitor into a VGA output is expensive. I don't know of any specific models but they are out there.

The problem is that Apple displays are digital-only (DVI-D). This was true for the old ones with ADC, and still is true for the new ones. As VGA is analog video, there is no such thing as a simple adaptor from VGA to DVI-D (DVI-D is without, DVI-I is with analog video).

What you need is some hardware that transforms the analog VGA signal into digital DVI signal. such hardware exists, but costs start at around $300, taking in account that you'll loose signal quality through the multiple signal converting, it's not worth it.

You should have checked that before buying the 20" Dinema Display... :eek:neye:

Sell your 20" Cinema, buy a Dell 2005FPW, it is a great monitor and it has VGA and DVI input, cheaper than the Apple , but doesn't look as kewl.
