Hi,
I have bought an emac what is upgradable to 2GB.
Which memory should I buy?
What can I upgrade on my eMac?
Thanks!

Does help if you provide details on the eMac as there are seven different models.

Original Poster: Yes, most definitely...we need to know the processor speed of your eMac. Different model eMac's used different memory.

i thought the emacs where limited to 1 gb

Apple says 1 Gb for all eMac models, the fact is that the USB2 eMac onward will take twice that.

Just a thought. As I mentioned in other threads...have you tried using "Google"!

All you have to do is enter..."eMac Memory"...in the search field, and you get all kinds of great information!

^ I'd just like to congratulate you. Nice purchase! How much did you pay for it?
Also, how about installing Leopard in that machine? It should run well enough.

I have the same machine minus the 100GB of HDD space. It does well on Leopard for Browsing, Email, etc. It runs iWeb and iPhoto reasonably well from iLife '06. But heck, no I know it will take 2GB instead of 1, I need to find some memory. I didn't know the apple specs were off. Thanks for the info.
