    Question imac g5


    I need to get a PC and a mac, i was thinking of getting an iMac G5 20" for video and a Sony Vaio laptop for playing games and for work, or should i get a 17" Sony Vaio desktop and a 15" powerbook? thanks

    as far as Video goes, you'll want a nice display. The powerbooks have nice Display, but the iMacs 20" TFT is simply beautiful.

    Though buying an iMac just for the Display isn't a good choice, if your going to work on your Vaio most of the time.

    On the other hand, Apple is unmatched with the various Solutions you get for authoring Video...

    In my opinion get your Vaio and use it only when you need to go out or use Windows-Only Apps.

    But with iWork you'll get an "incredible sense of style" as mr. jobs would put it....

    yes, but firstly ive got $6000 to spend and macs are rubbish for games, windows computers are much better for games and i only really need a mac for video

    So spend $500 on a PC for games and the rest on a PowerMac and big display, then when you want to play games just plug the display into the PC.

    According to all the PC fanatics $500 should buy you a PC that's about 100 times faster than any Mac and plays all the latest games. :bone:

    put 1k into a pc platform, what will get u the latest and greates...and the rest on the apple of your choice...500 is just not enough to make a "gaming rig"
