hello,

i just bought an imac and was looking to upgrade the ram to 4gb. i was going through apples specs and it says that it needs a 200pin ram chip. browsing though newegg, i notice only a 184 or 240 pin. is 200pin ram some proprietary thing or does newegg just not carry it?

also, i was going through the diagrams on how to install it, and it says "installing from bottom slot," and there is one ram thats in the picture. is there a top slot that has the other ram in it? or am i just reading too much into the words. i like to be sure of what i am getting into before i open it up.

The slot you're referring to holds two modules.
