Question How to open CD tray with older keyboard?
Being new to Mac and using an eMac (Panther) I would like to change the original (white) keyboard to a larger one from days past which was given to me. Of course it does not have the tray key (top right) to open the CD tray. How can I open it on my older keyboard? Due to failing eye sight the white keyboard keys are very hard to see and I have to use a lamp to illuminate it which causes glare. Cannot find a remedy under Disk Utility but think there must be a way. Looked thru several books without any luck. Thanks for helping.

I think your best option is to navigate to this folder:

    /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras

and locate the file "Eject.menu" If you double click it an eject icon will now be in the menu bar at the top and you can control it from there.

Thanks, Alycia! What a sneaky trick. Had a little trouble finding the SYSTEM folder but that is one thing my book told me. Guess it's second nature once you know the Mac. - Thanks again.

Right on! Also with Win-keyboards which work with MacOS X.
